Year 3 Curriculum
About Year 3
Year Three consists of two classes, named 3SM and 3SH. As their first step in Key Stage 2, we ensure the transition from Year Two is as smooth as possible. In Year Three we provide a broad and varied curriculum, covering a range of stimulating topics that sometimes include trips or other exciting activities; ensuring the children receive purposeful learning experiences. As well as our two classrooms, we have access to a separate learning space for small group work. Our indoor learning space includes a calm and purposeful environment, a cloakroom space for belongings and personal trays for the children. We also have lots of learning resources available to support the children with their learning and have access to a well-stocked library.

How parents can support children at home
In year Three, parents can support their children by encouraging them to continue their learning at home. This could be reading with their child, practising their spellings or key words, reciting times tables and having conversations about what they have been learning at school.
