Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The Chalk Ridge Primary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) plays a very important role in the life of our school.

Our primary aim is to advance the education of pupils in the school.

We do this by:

  • Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.
  • Engaging in activities or providing facilities and/or equipment which support the school and advance the education of its children.

Chalk Ridge Association has charitable status (registered charity no. 1106657) which helps with our fundraising activity. We organise various events throughout the school year for the benefit of both parents and pupils. All donations of PTA funds are made in line with our Constitution.

We are always looking for new parents and carers who can help us with our work. This could be by becoming a committee member or by helping before, during, or after an event, see more information below about ways you can help the PTA. If you are interested in getting involved please speak to the school Admin Office team on 01256 461733 in the first instance who can put you in touch with the Chair of the PTA who can answer any questions you may have. We hold an Annual General Meeting each year in September/October - Chalk Ridge Association Annual General Meeting minutes

Ways you can help the PTA to raise funds for the school
  • Shop with affiliate schemes GiveAsYouLive - We'd love it if you could support us by signing up to Give As You Live.

  • Textile recycling - clean unwanted and old clothes,  bedding, towels, cuddly toys, shoes and bags can be placed in the large recycling bin.

  • Preloved uniform - drop off good condition items in our small green recycling bin and shop for items at Tuesday morning sales (8.30-8.50am in the Gibson room)

  • Volunteer- there are lots of ways you can help - sharing ideas, planning events, manning stalls, donating items, as a committee member, etc.  In our commitment to keeping our children safe a DBS (criminal record) check maybe required.
  • Could you or your employer donate a prize, or do they offer a matched funding scheme?
